Finishing: Redistribute stitches onto 4 dpns with the inside stitches (purls) on the inside 2 needles and the outside stitches (knits) on the outside 2 needles. To finish, you can either:

  • (College) Bind-off the stitches on the inside needles using 3 needle bind-off and then mattress stitch the live stitches on the outside needles together; or
  • (Pro) Place inside stitches on a small stitch-holder or series of large safety pins.  Mattress stitch the live stitches on the outside needles together.  Turn piece inside-out.  Mattress stitch the live stitches together, making a reversible cozy.
